{"id":1576,"date":"2019-09-15T21:01:11","date_gmt":"2019-09-15T13:01:11","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/tsinghualogic.net\/JRC\/?page_id=1576"},"modified":"2023-05-21T12:36:16","modified_gmt":"2023-05-21T04:36:16","slug":"2020mono","status":"publish","type":"page","link":"http:\/\/tsinghualogic.net\/JRC\/tllm\/2020mono\/","title":{"rendered":"Second Tsinghua Interdisciplinary Workshop on Logic, Language, and Meaning: Monotonicity in Logic and Language"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<h2 class=\"has-text-align-center\">Call for Participation<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The workshop<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Monotonicity in Logic and Language<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>(2nd Tsinghua Interdisciplinary Workshop in Logic, Language and Meaning)<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>will be held online (via Zoom) on <strong>December 17 \u2013 20<\/strong>, 2020.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The workshop is hosted by the Tsinghua University \u2013 University of Amsterdam Joint Research Center for Logic, and features 22 contributed talks and 5 invited speakers:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul>\n<li>Gennaro Chierchia (Harvard)<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<ul>\n<li>Jo-Wang Lin (Academia Sinica)<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<ul>\n<li>Larry Moss (UI Bloomington)<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<ul>\n<li>Floris Roelofsen (ILLC)<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<ul>\n<li>Jakub Szymanik (ILLC)<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>Before the workshop, on <strong>December 16<\/strong>, there are two tutorials:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Jakub Szymanik: Monotonicity in Logic (Dec 16, 18-20 Beijing time)<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Gennaro Chierchia: Monotonicity in Language (Dec 16, 21-23 Beijing time)<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>For further details about the schedule etc., see <a href=\"http:\/\/tsinghualogic.net\/JRC\/?page_id=1592\">http:\/\/tsinghualogic.net\/JRC\/?page_id=1592<\/a>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>All interested are welcome, and participation is free, but you need to register in advance.
