Logic in Asia: Studia Logica Library
Motivation
Researchers in Asia are playing an important role in the international community. Their contributions in logic are receiving much more recognition nowadays. To promote the scientific research in the Asian area, and further strengthen the collaboration between Asian researchers and researchers from other regions, we have recently agreed with Springer to start a new book series: Logic in Asia. One of the prominent features of contemporary logic is its interdisciplinary character, connecting across mathematics, philosophy, modern computer science, and even the cognitive and social sciences. The aim of this book series is to provide a forum for current logic research, reflecting this trend in logic development.
We accept books on any logical topic broadly conceived. The book series essentially has the same scope as the journal of Studia Logica. Namely, we are interested in publishing books on contemporary formal logic and its applications and relations to other disciplines. We accept monographs and thematically coherent volumes dealing with important developments in logic and presenting significant contributions to logical research. In addition, research works on the history of logical ideas, especially on the traditions in China and India, are cordially invited.
The scope of the book series is the following (non-exclusively):
- Monographs written by researchers in Asian area.
- Conference proceedings with conference locations in Asia, or edited by Asian researchers.
- Anthologies edited by researchers in Asia.
- Research works by scholars from other regions of the world, which fit for the goal of “Logic in Asia”.

Relation with Studia Logic Library
This series is part of the Studia Logica Library, this means the series is in name connected to the Journal Studia Logica. This connection does not imply any dependence from the Studia Logica’s Editorial Office in terms of running the Book Series, while we will keep cooperative relation with it.
Structure
The Book Series is managed by Editors-in-Chief: Fenrong Liu, Tsinghua University, China and Hiroakira Ono, Japanese Advanced Institute of Science and Technology, Japan. Editors in Chief undertake the editorship of the Book Series. In cooperation with Volume Editor(s)/Author(s), they provide manuscripts for the volumes to be published in the Series.
Editorial Board consists of eminent researchers from all over the world who have been playing the leading role for logic in Asian countries. Editorial board members are expected to recommend manuscript, help with review process in the future.

Typical books will average 250 printed pages. Publication of two to four volumes per year is planned.
Authors interested in proposing a completed book or a manuscript in progress or in conception can either consult the Publisher or either of Editors in Chief.
