Johan van Benthem, Changjiang Professor at Tsinghua, was recently elected Foreign Honorary Member of the American Academy of Arts and Sciences. He is emeritus university professor of Pure and Applied Logic at the University of Amsterdam, Henry Waldgrave Stuart Professor of Philosophy at Stanford University.
